Make net neutrality a top priority for Representative Coffman on Tuesday. Join an in-person event to show Rep. Coffman that the net neutrality CRA is a top priority in Aurora.
Last week senators from both sides of the aisle voted to block the FCC’s net neutrality repeal. The fight is now headed to the House and we need to flip about 25 Republicans our way to win — and Representative Mike Coffman’s support is key.
In December, Rep. Coffman did the right thing when he asked the FCC to delay its vote. Now we need him to follow through and vote for the CRA. If we can convince Coffman to join us then we have a solid shot at unlocking a landslide of House Republicans to help save net neutrality.
Are you able to pressure Rep. Coffman in person on May 29th? Here are the key details:
- Tuesday, May 29th at 6:00 PM MDT
- Rep. Mike Coffman’s Aurora District Office
- 3300 S. Parker Road, Cherry Creek Place IV Suite #506
- RSVP to join the event here.
Coffman is very vulnerable and he’s counting on small business support to get re-elected. But hundreds of Colorado companies support the CRA and we need to make their voices heard.
For months now, Coffman has been threatening to introduce his own “alternative” net neutrality legislation even though hundreds of residents and small businesses have warned him not to.
Instead, Coffman needs to follow the lead of Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) who, despite introducing his own legislation, ultimately voted for the CRA to ensure Internet users are protected while Congress deliberates on the long-term solution.
If we can get local press to talk about how important the net neutrality CRA is to Internet users and the small business community, we have a shot at convincing Coffman to support the resolution in the House.
So please, if you can, join the sign-waving demonstration at 6:00pm local time on Tuesday, May 29th.
