Internet users from all over are going to descend on DC on June 26th to meet directly with lawmakers and save net neutrality
The FCC’s repeal of net neutrality officially went into effect earlier this week, but the fight for the free and open Internet is far from over. Congress can still overrule Ajit Pai using a joint resolution under Congressional Review Act (CRA). It already passed the Senate, now we need to force it to a vote in the House.
To do this, Fight for the Future, Public Knowledge, and other groups are organizing Internet users from all over the country to travel to DC on June 26th to meet face to face with House members. Participants will be able to attend a training on how to make these meetings effective, and will be paired with a guide to show where to go on Capitol Hill.
A limited number of travel stipends are available for people who are flying or taking public transit. Learn more here.
If you are planning to drive to DC, and have room for other net neutrality supporters in your car, drop a comment in this thread, once we verify ride offers, we will add them to this description. Contact team@fightforthefuture.org with questions.
