Call today to stop ISPs from killing the California net neutrality bill
Yesterday, we won a historic victory when the US Senate passed a resolution to block the FCC’s repeal of net neutrality. That fight now heads to the House of Representatives where we face an uphill, but winnable battle.
In the meantime, the California net neutrality fight over SB 822 is more important than ever, and we just got word that the bill is in trouble.
SB 822 cleared two major hurdles last month, but now its at risk of getting stalled in the Senate Appropriations process, due to massive pressure from ISP lobbyists trying to kill the bill.
Please call these key Senators right now and tell them to advance SB 822, the bill to restore net neutrality in California!
- Senator Toni Atkins: (916) 651–4039, @ToniAtkins
- Senator Ricardo Lara: (916) 651–4033, @SenRicardoLara
SB 822 is by far the strongest and most comprehensive state level net neutrality bill in the country. That’s why giant companies like AT&T and Comcast are working so hard to stop it before it can get to a vote.
If we can get SB 822 through the appropriations process, it will head to a final vote at the end of this month. So please spread the word!
